Given for what passes for journalism in the US you can be forgiven. In any event there's a place in the world where the population reacts to the usurpation of their rights with more than a shrug of the shoulders and a yawn [sound like someplace familiar?]. Hondurans and those throughout the region who support them in their struggle against the US-backed coup continue to demonstrate what fighting for democracy actually looks like.

I am disappointed the articles did not mention the School of the Americas and how coup leaders were educated there. The ONLY place I have seen this was in last week's issue of the National Catholic Reporter, a weekly liberal (very) Catholic newspaper.

Very astute question. A silent coup by the financial oligarchy (led by Goldman Sachs) has been underway since the TARP giveaway last October. Its most effective agent so far has been the occupant of the White House.
And THAT Coup AIN'T Coo'!@#$%^&*

Yep Shadi the silence in the US MSM regarding Honduras is absolutely deafening, particularly when contrasted with the 24/7 "sympathetic" coverage of the disputed elections and the aftermath in Iran an Official Enemy.
