"The wealthy, not only by private fraud but also by common laws, do every day pluck and snatch away from the people some part of their daily living. Therefore, when I consider and weigh in my mind these commonwealths which nowadays do flourish, I perceive nothing but a certain conspiracy of rich men in procuring their own commodities under the name and authority of the commonwealth.

They invent and devise all means and crafts, first how to keep safely without fear of losing that which they have unjustly gathered together, and next how to hire and abuse the work and labor of the people for as little money and effort as possible."

A Message From Bill Clinton

I don't know how I could have missed this.

Good one Coldie!!

I'll have to show that one to co-workers who always seem to think that Bill Clinton was a "good liberal." I always reply, "you never heard me call him that." (Unfortunately UTube is locked out of departmental computers).

Nope Bill and Hillary are not the answer. They are part of the reason the Democratic Party has not moved further to the left.

Nope, our best answer was Dennis Kucinich and now they have forced him out. He was the only answer in this election. Guess it is time to pull a Green Party primary ballot. Whatta think, Coldie?

That's the direction I'm going. I really see no other alternatives for genuine progressives. I cannot with a clear conscience cast a vote for Obama or Clinton, given that both fully embrace the myth of "American Exceptionalism" and the highly interventionist/expansionist foreign policy such a position entails.
