"The wealthy, not only by private fraud but also by common laws, do every day pluck and snatch away from the people some part of their daily living. Therefore, when I consider and weigh in my mind these commonwealths which nowadays do flourish, I perceive nothing but a certain conspiracy of rich men in procuring their own commodities under the name and authority of the commonwealth.
They invent and devise all means and crafts, first how to keep safely without fear of losing that which they have unjustly gathered together, and next how to hire and abuse the work and labor of the people for as little money and effort as possible."

What does a 3 billion dollar per year subsidy without strings attached get you?
Gratitude and an immense sense of entitlement for starters.
That video was kinda funny in parts - drunken Jewish college kids. That one who said,"If you don't change the world I'm coming to the White House and I'm gonna tea-bag your ass" made me laugh my ass off.
But as Ice Cube said a few years ago when asked why his lyrics are so racist, his reply was simply,"Some things needed to be said."
Obama is no friend of Israel and everyone knows it. His giving money to HAMAS, his intimate relationship with Khalidi, and his mentor's derisions of "the Jews" make for a fairly accurate damning of Obama's true intent.
Personally I feel we do give too much money to Israel - and they are ingrates. They're still spying on us, and stealing our military technology and aren't helping us over there as much as we need.
Rue that's extremely funny, that bit about "Obama is no friend of Israel". I mean really? Are you serious?
During the murderous IDF assault on Gaza this past December, a clear cut war crime, Obie was silent. Israel continues to build and expand its illegal settlements in the Occupied Territories (with US tax-payer funds) yet Obama sees no evil, hears no evil. Israel's new ultra right wing government includes outright fascists but this puts no damper on our "special relationship" whatsoever.
Were you aware Rue that a minister in the government of our little “ally” that could has actually proposed sanctions against the US?! Talk about biting the hand that pays for your ethic cleansing.
I'm going to have to confess my ignorance on that. I don't really follow Israeli/Palestinian issues. I don't have enough information to comment.
If I may emote for a moment though, my opinion is that it seems Israel gave Palestinians a bunch of property - Gaza, maybe? - and that didn't seem to quiet the agitators. In fact, didn't some peace-loving Palestinians commandeer bulldozers and murder some Israelis? And aren't the Palestinians raining mortars into Israel on a regular basis? It just seems that Israel gets quite a bad rap, when they're such a tiny country in that area and everyone knows that Syria, Jordan, Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Eqypt - and a few other Muslim HellHoles - would love to bomb Israel into oblivion.
Just my 2cents. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to vent.

Compare the number of Palestians killed by bombs launched by Israel to the reverse. Either way is wrong, but the media rarely puts out the numbers.
