"The wealthy, not only by private fraud but also by common laws, do every day pluck and snatch away from the people some part of their daily living. Therefore, when I consider and weigh in my mind these commonwealths which nowadays do flourish, I perceive nothing but a certain conspiracy of rich men in procuring their own commodities under the name and authority of the commonwealth.
They invent and devise all means and crafts, first how to keep safely without fear of losing that which they have unjustly gathered together, and next how to hire and abuse the work and labor of the people for as little money and effort as possible."

Welcome Aboard Mr. Crimmins
It's extremely gratifying to see that a pundit and cultural observer of Barry Crimmins' caliber has managed to fully purge himself of the Obamalaid. Earlier in the campaign season he showed distressing signs of infection which had him agitating on the Barockstar's behalf. Clearly he's recovered.
I enjoyed how Crimmins points out how everyone is "on a journey." The phrase has been overused a bit this week in Denver.
On a side note. The speech by Michelle Obama was nice, but come on it was nothing that was of substance! Nor should it have been. It was a nice touch, but those Obama supporters going goofy over it are lost.
I noted Crimmins also has a link to Paul Krassner, former Yippies leader, who 40 years ago this week was causing havoc here in Chicago.
Nothing about the do-nothing Obama's has any substance. It's all marxist rhetoric intended to create class conflicts and divide us along race, class and sex.
Nobama's hunkered down and is hoping that his reticence to provide the voters with personal information about Himself won't discourage voters at the polls.
He won't release his medical history, his senate records (they were destroyed), his billing records when he was Tony Rezko's attorney, or his school records when he and Bill Ayers worked on the same board together. What's he hiding?
I'll tell you: He's hiding the fact that his friends and associates are all marxist ideologues. He's a street agitator who hasn't done a damn thing in his entire life except to get elected. He and his retarded wife, when not on a teleprompter, can't help but say the most scandalous things about this country. They want to expand government exponentially - and enact their socialist model worldview.
If you want Saul Alinsky, then vote for Nobama. I personally want LESS government intrusions, more liberty, more freedoms, and less socialism.
McCain sucks because he's a RINO and isn't conservative enough for me. It's not cooincidence that back in the 1930's, it was common knowledge that Roosevelt, Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini were all adored by the political Left.
That's because Liberalism is a watered down version of fascism.
Now go back to plotting the downfall of Western Civilization.
Obama is liberal yes, but far from a Marxist. I wear my socialism as a badge of honor. I hide nothing. Obama has started to cave in on many of the issues which first drew folks to his campaign.
I agree he knows Ayers more than he admits, but how close I do not know. Ayers is another member of the rich elite. I've always said it is easier to be a rich socialist than a poor one like me or Coldie.
Liberalism is not fascism, the GOP is closer. The GOP locks out (for the most part) persons of color, gays and the lower classes.
You talk about nothing of substance? YOUR Commander-in-Chief lied to get us into Iraq. His vice-president is getting richer because of it as are the president's buddies.
The invasion of Georgia is like the invasion of Iraq. Both are being done to assure control of oil. Too bad those leaders did not retain control of the oil fields like Hugo.
Rue, please do me a favor. Google "Paul Street" and "Barack Obama" THEN tell me you still think that the Barockstar is still a Marxist. By the way, why would Wall Street and the insurance industry overwhelmingly support a "Marxists" with tens of millions in campaign contributions over Bush 2.0, aka John McCain?
In my opinion, Obama is a centrist neither a liberal nor a Marxist. Please study Marxism because you are getting Marxism confused with Leninism and stalism, there is a difference. Rue it sounds to me you prefer a theocracy rather than a true conservative society. Do you know the difference between communism and socialism? What makes you different than the fundamentalist here and abroad?
also, rue there is a difference between political left and liberal just as there is between conservative and the far right. A deeper study of these terms would provide a deeper understanding of the politics of today and the past quite frankley.
