"The wealthy, not only by private fraud but also by common laws, do every day pluck and snatch away from the people some part of their daily living. Therefore, when I consider and weigh in my mind these commonwealths which nowadays do flourish, I perceive nothing but a certain conspiracy of rich men in procuring their own commodities under the name and authority of the commonwealth.

They invent and devise all means and crafts, first how to keep safely without fear of losing that which they have unjustly gathered together, and next how to hire and abuse the work and labor of the people for as little money and effort as possible."

Reflections on Terror

I'm remiss to have not formally introduced to those few who visit this space the source that first inspired my efforts and nom de plume. I speak of Coldtype.net which offers, free of charge, the writing of progressive thinkers the world over. What follows is but a sample of their outstanding offerings to those of the left persuasion, in this instance the latest from Edward S. Herman & David Peterson on America's so-called "war on terror". You'll find the link to this incredible site on my blogroll to your right ["My Inspiration"]. This Herman & Peterson essay is lengthy but I think you'll find it well worth your time. Read on.

As Artie Johnson used to say in the beginning only, of his Laugh-In tag line, "veeeeery interesting."

I was unaware of Coldtype magazine. When I first read your post I went to the site and thought to myself, boy, this guy is better than I thought. Then when I went back here to comment here saw the magazine was your "inspiration."

No matter if you are not a magazine editor, I still like you. I won't have time to scroll the site today as with my RDO I have about a million things to do. I really want to read that very first issue.

Anyways.....

I imagine you (as well as I) have stuff to say about the Wisconsin primary and such. I fear the alleged progressives in the Democratic Party are getting too exited about the possible Obama candidacy.

More later.
