The brother of slain former Arizona Cardinal Pat Tillman has broken his silence. As many of you will recall, in 2002 Pat Tillman walked away from a multi-million dollar NFL contract in order to do what he felt was his patriotic duty and enlisted into the Army to defend his country. Tragically Tillman was killed in a friendly-fire incident which the Army clumsily attempted to cover-up. Needless to say this back-fired in a major way.
What Kevin has to say about the lies and deceptions from our government that ultimately led to Pat's death as well as scores like him is finally beginning to dawn upon the general US population thankfully at last. In other words, we are beginning to see our own government in same light from which the rest of the world views it. Better late than never.
As you read Kevin's powerful indictment of the criminal Bush administration, keep in mind that he too was an Army Ranger who believed the veracity of the fictional threats to our nation as deeply as his brother had.

When this administrations term is over,America will finally realize what has been done to our military. The Army and Marine Corps especially. Rumsfeld will go down in history as the most incompetent Secretary of Defense in our nations history. When he told an Amereican combat soldier in Iraq;"You go to war with the Army you have, not the one you wish you had." I was shocked speechless. Since WWII our military has ALWAYS been the best equipped, trained, and armed force in the world. U.S. Military doctrine is to outgun your enemy so that he thinks twice about war. Rummy is trying to run the military like a corporation. This is the main reason our troops are worn out and the Army is about to colapse. I have a family member in the Marines that is on his FIFTH deployment to the Middle East. He was intending to make the Corps his career but has since changed his mind. When his enlistment is up,he says he'll take his chances in the civilian world. I for one am glad. My family and I pray everyday for his safe return. One of the main factors in his deciding to leave the military was the way some of his fellow Marines have been treated by the VA system after being wounded in Iraq. The VA is overworked, understaffed, underfunded, and unable to meet the needs of a growing amount of veterans who need their services. This is something not being taked about by the media.WHY? There are ALL kinds of lies and coverups going on in the pentagon that will eventually see the light of day.(soon I hope.)Thanx for letting me rant.
I hear you. I have family in the service as well. As I write this my brother-in-law awaits orders to Iraq for his second deployment.
